VERTEX STANDARD SPECIAL FEATURES

Arts and Arts II

Only Vertex Standard Radios have an auto range transpond system that tell the two way radio user when they are out of communication range of other ARTS activated two ways. An ARTS activated radio will poll other radios in the field to check its communication range. The user will be alerted when the radio is out of communication range. The radios continual monitor range every 25 or 55 seconds (depending on your settings) to constantly keep the user in communication range. VX-450 radios are equipped with the new ARTS2 feature which uses MDC 2000 signaling. MDC 2000 allows each user to, not only know when they are out of range but when anyone else in the group is out of range, how many users are in range, when a user comes back in range and who that user is.

CHANNEL ANNOUNCE HQ VX 450

The VX-450 Series of radios is the first Vertex Standard series of radios to have channel announce. The 450 series of radios can be programmed so that each time the user turns the channel knob the radios will verbally announce which channel the user has moved to. The channel announce can be programmed in 9 different languages and can be turned on or off to suit your environment.

VX-450 Lone Worker HQ

Emergency and Lone Worker Alerts are features that are designed to improve the safety of a worker in the field. The Emergency feature allows an individual to notify help with the push of a button. When the individual pushes the emergency button it lets everyone else on his frequency know that he is in an emergency situation. The radio is programmed to keep the display on the entire time the radio is in the emergency mode. The radio can also be programmed to keep the display off when in emergency mode. This could be advantageous to a security team member who is dealing with a situation and does not want anyone around them to know they have sent out an emergency signal. Lone Worker is a feature that the user initiates on their radio when working by themselves. A beep then reminds the user to check in every 5 minutes by pushing the PTT button on the side of the radio. If the user fails to push the PTT button the radios will automatically emit and emergency signal to notify others that help is needed.

VX-450 Stun / Kill / Revive

Stun/Kill/Revive is a feature that allows a radio that is lost, stolen or misplace to be rendered inoperable from a remote location, preventing unauthorized use. When a radio has been lost or stolen, another user can stun the radio with the push of a button, inhibiting all the functions of the radio. Once it has been located it can be revived be the same user, reactivating its functionality. If a radio is stolen, a user can remotely kill the stolen radio, preventing all functionality until the radio has been reprogrammed by an authorized Vertex Standard dealer.
